Luna Harp with Climbing Roses and Bird House

Here are some recent photos of my Triplett Luna wire harp this summer.

After I got back from playing in church I didn’t take Luna harp into the house right away. I decided to have a Sunday photo session in the back yard.

I posed my harp in some unlikely but attractive green corners of the yard:

It was a bright (but not overly hot) sunny day.

I took the photos with my Nikon D5100:

More camera fun. A photo of my harp in church just before services began. This one taken with my iPhone 7:

The light and colors are interesting. I actually did move my harp to a more sensible position and played her outdoors for a few hours before bringing her inside for the night. The harp cart is very handy!

The Early Medieval Sequence

by Richard L. Crocker
University of California Press
ISBN: 0-520-02847-3

The Council of Trent (1545 -1563) suppressed many sequences that were popularly in use at the time for Roman Catholic Masses. Today only a handful are in use: Victimae paschali, Veni Sancte Spiritus, Lauda Sion, Dies irae, and Stabat mater.

This book explores the sequences of Notker Balbulus (ca. 840 - 912), monk of St. Gall.

I plan on playing them on my harp in church. (!)
